Megan Gaither is a Level I Instructor and is one of CrossFit BlackIron’s many athletes. Megan started her CrossFit journey while on Deployment in Kuwait at Camp Buering in 2014. Megan came to North Texas in 2001 where she graduated from UNT in 2006 with a Criminal Justice degree. She has worked for Denton County Juvenile Probation since graduating. In 2010 Megan joined the ARMY reserves and is currently a Sergeant (E-5) with the 490th Civil Affairs Battalion in Grande Prairie.
Megan has a background in competitive swimming and softball. She was drawn to CrossFit for the community and the dynamic interactions between members and coaches. She enjoys having people around that will push you to work harder than you could on your own. Megan is very passionate about working hard to improve all aspects of her fitness and enjoys seeing those around her push harder every day.
When Megan isn’t at the box working out or coaching, you can find her spending time with friends and animals, playing softball, or relaxing at the pool or beach (well kind of, Little Elm Beach).
